1903 – the Try Again

“THE ST. ABBS WRECK. Dunbar lifeboat returned to the New Harbour on Wednesday evening, after having been at sea for over twelve hours. On reaching the wreck of the s. s. Try Again (209 tons) with coal from Aberdeen, the crew were found to be amissing, and as contrary winds prevailed, a great deal of tacking was necessary before port could be reached. The coxswain and crew are commended, and more especially seeing that excessively cold weather was prevalent all that day and night.”
